| Daisy’s Dream is a professional service which was established to respond
to the needs of bereaved children and families in Berkshire and the surrounding areas.
Every 30 minutes in the UK a child is bereaved of a parent.
The organisation offers an individual support service which meets the needs of each child and
their family. The service is flexible and is tailored to meet their needs.
Help is available in a variety of ways from telephone support, to visits in
the home or school, one to one support and group events. Each year events are
held which bring families together enabling them to meet other people in similar
circumstances helping with the isolation so often felt through bereavement.
Understanding
The death of a significant person in a Childs life can be devasting. Death is a
natural part of life. We work to help children understand their loss and to
enable them to move forward in a positive way.
Working together
The organisation supports parents and those caring for bereaved children. Daisy’s Dream
also help associated professionals working with children and provides training
and advice. |
