London to Brighton ChallengeSaturday 25th May 2013 A 100km, walk, jog or Ultra-Marathon!
This challenge is more than a one-off event - it's a journey that you won't forget. It starts with a training regime some months beforehand, through to the anticipation and excitement at the start line, and after a long night on weary limbs, with the Brighton Coast in view, celebrating the overwhelming sense of achievement. It finishes when you' ve had time to reflect on what that achievement really means to you, and where the next challenge lies.
Whether your ambition is to complete the distance in 10 or 30 hours, the year for re-defining personal goals is 2013. The challenge is London to Brighton!

Set in the magnificent backdrop of the Peak District, starting and finishing in two easily accessible and vibrant cities, it will be a journey that you’ll never forget. Whether you walk it or run it, tackle 100km or 50km – you could be one of 1500 making a difference!
The Route... Journeying along the historic Trans Pennine Trail from the urban landscape of Manchester alongside winding riverside paths, on through the Peak District to Penistone at the 50km midpoint; then to Sheffield and the Don Valley Stadium 100km finish line.
4 stage course – major rest stops every 25km, with check points every 12.5km
Starts inDidsbury, South Manchester – 100km finish at the Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield
100KM route – Manchester to Sheffield – 1040 m of ascent
50KM route – Manchester to Penistone – 785 m of ascent
Fully signed route – with maps supplied and GPS downloads
Tented village start – with aerobic warm up – tea, coffee, snacks
Hot food stops at 25km, 50km, 75km, 100km (bring your own lunch at 25km)
