Twice a year during the Spring and Autumn we have a weekend event dedicated to helping bereaved children and their families.
The events give families the opportunity to come together and share their experiences, often helping with the isolation so often felt through the loss of a special person.
A team of dedicated staff and volunteers help support the children and adults through a weekend that can be fun, eventful and emotional. The feedback that Daisy’s Dream receives from these events can be very rewarding particularly when families express the way in which the experience has helped them look towards a more positive future. |

Some of the events and people that have really made a difference to our fundraising have stories to tell. Raising money and volunteering for the organisation is always a challenge but brings with it a great sense of achievement and experiences to remember! It is always fun and rewarding, if you would like to make a difference please contact us........ |

The Oracle Charitable Partnership
Daisy`s Dream was delighted to be part of the `Oracle Charitable Partnership` in 2006. We would like to thank the staff and management at the Oracle for all their help and giving us the opportunity to fundraise.
We would also like to thank our hard working volunteers for making it all possible. The five events throughout the year were fun for local children who had the opportunity to take part in different events, just some of these were, colouring in a Daisy, taking part in a quiz, making Christmas decorations and even saying `hello` to our mascot Daisy!
Thanks to the generosity of the shopping public Daisy`s Dream was able to raise a fantastic £6,200!
Thank you to everyone who helped and made a difference.
We are delighted to announce that we have the opportunity to partner the Oracle shopping centre again in 2007! |

Nicola and Natasha from the nursery took on the challenge of a 65 mile walk from London to Brighton at the beginning of September.
They set off from Trafalgar Square on Friday at 7.30am. After the first day of walking 26 miles they were nursing sore feet and blisters. Saturday brought rain, after 17 miles they stopped for a well deserved lunch. After a rest they were ready for the final stretch - 22 miles!
Finally... reaching the pier they were greeted by friends and family who joined them to celebrate their brilliant achievement with a well deserved glass of champagne!
Casterbridge Nurseries have matched the amount raised and the total figure is a fantastic £3,793.52! Well done! |

The Isle of Wight Challenge!
Our Isle of Wight team completed their challenge event over the weekend - and what a challenge it turned out to be! It became an endurance test through driving rain and 40 mph winds whilst negotiating coastal cliff paths.
One team member slipped down a raveen injuring his leg, forcing him to pull out through injury, and another collapsed at the 60 mile check point at 3am due to exhaustion and dehydration.
Finally, the final Daisy`s Dream team member Simon, made it across the finish line at 6am. He was part of a group of 10 people that finished out of the 25 that started. His feet suffered the punishment of the 72 mile walk and he now needs to recover.
Daisy`s Dream would like to thank the team for their grit, detemination and hard work and wish them all well with thier recovery! |
