Gill joined Daisy's Dream in 2000 as a Family Worker. Her background is in social work; working in the child protection field with a local authority for a number of years before moving into a role in the Royal Berkshire Hospital maternity unit focusing on supporting families through bereavement.  Gill also has experience as a Teaching Assistant working with children with behavioural difficulties and special educational needs.

In 2002, Gill became Project Leader, managing the team of Family Workers and helping to develop the service we offered to children and young people. She took over as Director in 2005. Daisy's Dream has evolved and developed under Gill's leadership with the focus shifting away from residential weekends to the 1:1 support service we offer today. The remit has also expanded to include supporting families where there has been a serious illness diagnosis.
