Sam and FionaFiona and her son Sam wanted to give Chris a 50 Birthday party to remember.  Chris had always wanted a massive celebration for his 50th but sadly Chris passed away a few years ago in tragic circumstances.  He was a life force like no other and was such a force for good.  They chose Daisy’s Dream as their charity, a local children’s bereavement charity covering Cheshire East.

The party took place at Festival Hall, Alderley Edge on Friday 13 May 2022.  The evening was great fun and packed with Chris’ family and friends.  There was live music, great food, and a raffle.  The night raised £4,600.

Fiona said “I would like to thank everyone that came to the party.  Chris would have loved it.  It is so important to remember him, and it was a very emotional night.  Thank you to all the local businesses that donated prizes.  They are still coming in and I will need to do another raffle.  We have other events planned for Daisy’s Dream this year.  10 September Cycle Ride and 17 September Chris Fest.  Please do look out for further details as Sam and I want to raise as much money as we possibly can for Daisy’s Dream”.

Local Fundraiser, Sarah Hampton said, “It was lovely to see everyone who came along to Chris’ 50 party and raise an amazing amount, thank you. It was a very emotional evening with great live music and amazing food.  That means 10 bereaved children or young people and their families can be supported for a year”.

“Over the last few years Daisy’s Dream has started to support children, families and schools in Cheshire East and is currently supporting 60 children and their families.  Originally based in Berkshire, one of our Therapeutic Practitioners moved to Cheshire East and found that there was also a need for our services here.  So, we established our local Cheshire East team and can offer a free, flexible service which is tailored to meet the individual needs of each child and their family affected by the life threatening illness or death of someone they love. Our support packages include telephone support for parents and professionals and school/home visits for the child or young person.”
