This weekend Kaira Bollen, aged 10, took part in the Ellis Knight 3K Community Fun Run to raise money for Daisy's Dream. Kaira, who used our service last year following the death of her Dad in November 2015, decided that she wanted to take part in a challenge that would help raise money for other families who needed our support.

She set herself a steep fundraising target of £100 just a week before the event, but had smashed it within hours of her fundraising page being set up. The last count stood at a whopping £1,005 before gift aid - more than 10 times her original target and enough money for Daisy's Dream to support a family for a whole year!

If you, like us, have been inspired by Kaira's amazing fundraising efforts, there is still time to donate; just click here.

The fun run, organised by Knights4Charity - the charity wing of local bespoke recruitment firm Ellis Knight - marks the start of an epic '7 marathons in 7 days' challenge being undertaken by Dave Holby-Wolinski and Paul Smith.
