It's been wonderful to be able to get the Daisy's Dream banners, bunting and table cloths out and about again and participate in some of our community events in the run up to Christmas!

Our volunteers and fundraising team have been selling Christmas cards and our range of lovely Christmas puds, together with some fun community fundraising activities like the ever-popular Teddy Tombola at events across both Berkshire and Cheshire East.

Our Community Fundraiser, Jo & Fundraising Manager, Suzanne were busy ladies over the weekend, along with volunteers Elaine & Emily at events in Twyford, Theale & Newbury.

"It felt like a ‘home’ game because of the location!' says Jo, as the event was located just along the road from our offices. "It was a wonderful and very busy night. Santa came, the streets were packed with families enjoying the stalls and the brass band. We were selling our puddings and Christmas cards and we made over £385 on the night."

Theale Lights Celebration & Christmas Fayre

It was a very cold and windy night where we really needed the weights to hold down the gazebo! Special thanks to Jo's partner for zooming off to get sand ballast to hold everything down!

Despite the best efforts of the weather to dampen our Christmas spirits, plenty of children (and adults!) rolled up to have a go at the Teddy Tombola and loved it. It was wonderful to see so many happy faces that night and we made over £195.

Shaw House Christmas Fair

We were situated in the food hall for this indoor event and sold a good number of puddings and Christmas cards and raised over £250.

Hungerford Victorian Extravaganza

Despite being a very cold and icy December night, d Daisy’s Dream volunteers were out with a table full of puddings and Christmas cards just off Hungerford High Street. They even entered into the spirit of the event and dressed-up in Victorian costumes with lots of layers to keep out the cold! And as you can see it was a carnival atmosphere all night long! Thank you to our lovely volunteers Caroline and Carolyn who braved the weather and especially to Adam and Judy who joined us as ‘newbies’. We hope you’ll be back for a warmer event in the future!

Reading Station Collection

A big thank you to everyone who donated to our Reading Station bucket collection on Saturday 18th December whilst listening to the fantastic Thames Valley Chorus Choir.

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us for our Berkshire-based events!

We've also been attending local events as part of our Cheshire East projects, where local fundraiser Sarah has also been selling Christmas cards and puddings.

This has raised over £385 at Sandbach Christmas Market, YMCA Crewe and Kelsall Christmas Market, helped out by our local volunteer Helen.

Thank to everyone for your support in Cheshire East - we understand the puddings were so popular that Sarah has sold out of Sticky Toffee flavour!
