Now in our second year of funding and following a successful pilot project, we are delighted to expand our services more formally to the Cheshire East area.

During this period, Daisy’s Dream supported some 50 children affected by the death or critical illness of someone they love in the Cheshire East area and we are receiving new referrals on a regular basis.

Our Services in Cheshire East

We are extremely fortunate to have Liz Foley, a professionally-qualified, highly experienced Therapeutic Practitioner, who led our service delivery in the pilot phase and is at the forefront of providing and delivering our services in the area to families who find themselves dealing with the most challenging of times.

Our flexible service is open to families who are facing, or have experienced, the death of someone close to them and is tailored to meet the individual needs of each child and their family.

We also provide support to staff in local schools and other professionals working with children affected by bereavement or the impact of critical illness.

After an initial conversation with our Therapeutic Practitioner, the support we provide could include:

In the current climate we must, of course, adhere to current Covid-19 restrictions and social distancing guidelines, which may limit our ability to run group-based sessions. These will return as soon as it is safe for the children, their families and our team to do so.

If you would like to hear more about the services we can provide in Cheshire East, please email us at: [email protected] or call 07535 712255.

Please include your name, contact number and brief information about the child/children you are concerned about and their situation. Our Therapeutic Practitioner will be in contact in due course.

If you are contacting Daisy’s Dream on behalf of a family, please ensure that you have their consent to do so.

Funding and Fundraising in Cheshire East

All of our services are provided completely free of charge and we are an entirely self-funded charity, receiving no monies from central government or local authorities. We rely on fundraising events and donations from our brilliant local community, together with a small amount of grant funding from other charitable trusts.

We are also now fortunate enough to have a designated fundraiser in the Cheshire East area. Lucy Moore will work to enhance the profile of the work we do in the region, as well as lead fundraising activities to support the services we offer.

Fundraising in 2020 has become a whole lot harder and we are extremely grateful to all our fundraisers, supporters and volunteers who continue to support us with new and increasingly innovative ways of contributing towards our fundraising targets.

We would love to hear from you if you would like to find out more about how you can support Daisy’s Dream in Cheshire East, please contact Lucy at [email protected] or call 07939 576552.
