The Reading Half Marathon is now less than four weeks away, and this year is extra special as Daisy’s Dream is an official charity partner!
As we gear up for the big day on Sunday, 23rd March, we want to shine a spotlight on some of our incredible runners who are training hard and fundraising to support bereaved children and their families.
eCapital
A huge shoutout to our corporate partner eCapital, based in Reading, for putting together an impressive team of nine runners in support of Daisy’s Dream! We’re so grateful for their dedication and can’t wait to see them in action, raising both funds and awareness.
“One of the reasons we chose Daisy’s Dream is that you supported one of our team and he speaks so passionately about it. Since we met Zoe over a year ago, Daisy’s Dream has become part of the eCap family and we’re really proud of what you guys do and proud to support you.”

Charlotte Liddiard
Charlotte is taking on the Reading Half Marathon for Daisy’s Dream after seeing firsthand the impact of our support.
“My husband Chris died 6 years ago when our daughter Livvy had just turned a year old. Her grief has been very different to mine as she has no memories of her Daddy and she doesn’t have him here to watch her grow. Getting to join events with Daisy’s Dream helps Livvy to feel less alone knowing that she’s not the only child to have lost a parent. Livvy has been to several Daisy’s Dream events now, and as well as having lots of fun, it helps her to feel less alone spending time with other children who have lost a parent.”
We’re so grateful to Charlotte for running in support of our work and wish her all the best on race day!

Helen Fotheringham
“Two days before I turn the big 4-0, I will be running my first (and only!) half marathon!” 🎉
“I initially signed up for the Reading Half Marathon as a personal challenge, something I never thought I could do. It became so much more when I decided to run for Daisy’s Dream, a charity that does incredible work supporting bereaved children and families in Berkshire. I’m incredibly proud to be running for them and deeply appreciate the support from my friends and family, both for me and for Daisy’s Dream.”
We love your determination, Helen, and we’re so thrilled to have you on Team Daisy’s Dream. You’ve got this!

Green Park Challenge – Meet Sienna & Suki!
Alongside the half marathon, the Green Park Challenge offers a fantastic 3km family fun run—and we have two very special young fundraisers taking part!
Best friends Sienna (7) and Suki (8) have been training hard for the challenge and have already raised an incredible £500+! We’re so proud of them and can’t wait to see them cross the finish line.
