Get involved Events In the community DaisyFest 2024 Your DaisyFest starts here! Why not plan a DaisyFest in 2024? Big or small, at home, in the garden, at work, on the school field or local recreation ground, you can tailor your DaisyFest to the size and format that suits you and your guests. Our wonderful supporters held some lovely DaisyFest events over the past couple of years, so we're delighted to continue in and help you to host an event and be right at the heart of our vital 2024 fundraising, whilst hopefully enjoying yourselves in the process. It's really simple - just think about the following questions to get going... Where would you like to hold your DaisyFest? at home in the garden at work with your department or a bigger whole company event in the community - your local village hall or recreation ground at school - for example as part of your annual summer fete or leavers celebrations How many people would you like to come along? Just a few close friends in the garden Quite a few, but limited by personal invitation or department in a business The whole community -as many as possible! What will the format be? Tea and cakes on a quintessential (hopefully) sunny summer's afternoon A BBQ on a balmy summer's evening A community event like a fete or summer fayre with stalls and activities The choice is yours! And, what's more, we’ve got lots of fab online resources available to help, from cake picks to invitations, not to mention our fabulous bunting, so you can hold your very own daisy-themed festival of fun. Note: Please ensure that your DaisyFest continues to be held in line with any current Government advice on Covid-19, wherever you are. Some more ideas to get you started … The school field Students can colour in our printable daisies and make a giant daisy chain to decorate, hang up the bunting and play some festival tunes. Sell snacks and drinks – they could even be daisy themed and charge a small entrance fee to attend. Your back garden Turn your back garden into a DaisyFest, hang up the bunting, pitch the tent and nominate the DJ - you could even paint your faces and get the glitter out to get in the festival mood! Outside workspace Rally your work colleagues and get a BBQ going for your DaisyFest, ask everyone to wear the Daisy’s Dream colours; green, orange and yellow, to create a fun festival feel. Share the love Take lots of photos, or even a video, of your DaisyFest and send them into us – we’d love to be able to share your DaisyFest with our wonderful supporters. You might even encourage someone else to hold their own DaisyFest too! And if you're sharing on your own social media, don't forget to tag us on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and use #daisyfest to spread the word far and wide. Make a difference All of the funds raised by DaisyFest will go directly towards our work supporting children and young people, and their families, who have been bereaved or are living in a family where someone has a life-limiting illness.
