YOUR RACE. YOUR PACE. YOUR WAY...

We have places available in the 2022 TCS Virtual London Marathon and we're looking for supporters who'd like to take part in this amazing event as part of our Virtual London Marathon Dream Team!

Building on the world record breaking success of last year's virtual event, the organisers have decided to continue with the virtual event in addition to the traditional London race. That's an extra 50,000 people who can participate. A massive 100,000 in total!

So, join us on Sunday October 2nd and run your race, your route at your pace.

You have the full 24 hours to complete the distance, so whether you're a seasoned marathon runner or a leisure walker, you'll have plenty of time. You can choose your route, plan any stops along the way and be cheered along your own local 'Mall' by all your friends and family as you complete the distance.

You'll get a running vest, an official time and a London Marathon medal on completion. And, the minimum fundraising commitment is just £500!

If you're interested in joining us we'd love to hear from you as soon as possible, as we anticipate the places being snapped up quite quickly! You can find out more and view the application form via the button below.

Our wonderful 2021 Virtual Virgin Money Marathon runners. Could this be you in 2022?

If you're not a seasoned marathon runner, but would love to be a London Marathon medal winner, here are a few ideas of how you could reach that all important 26.2 mile marker:

  • Run or walk in memory or in honour of someone. Plan your route to start and finish at locations significant to that special person.  Try to pass through other places of importance too (think…. places of birth, schools/education establishments they attended, places they loved to visit etc.)
  • Take part as a group. Gather friends or colleagues to train together (or separately) and complete the race together to create your own Marathon experience.  Sharing the journey of preparing for, and completing, a marathon is very special.
  • Base your route around a local pub which can become a ‘cheer point’ for the day. Plan a loop of around 5 miles which can be completed five times to reach marathon distance.  Recruit a friend or relative to take on a ‘lap’ with you so you are never on your own and have fresh company every 5 miles or so.
  • Walk or run 2 miles every hour for 13 hours (or 1.1 miles every hour for 24 hours!). You can rest in between and encourage others to join you for an hour of your day.
