Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

What am I up to?
I’m giving up the World Service for 40nights, and walking a mile every day for 40days,
(a delayed Lent, finishing on 30th April).

Why ask for sponsorship?
I need motivation for myself! (Let’s face it!)

If you can spare a bit of cash, you can support me, and together, we can support the wonderful work at Daisy’s Dream, supporting children & families through tough times.... including brave friends of ours, and their awesome remaining parent.

Daisy's Dream is a Berkshire based charity supporting children and young people who are facing, or have experienced, the death of someone close.

Each year Daisy's Dream support hundreds of families with a service that is tailored to meet the individual needs of each child. This can range from over the phone advice for parents, carers and professionals to 1:1 home and/or school visits for the child, as well as therapeutic group events.
(And, yes, they are adapting to the developing social distancing, to keep providing that support.)

All of Daisy's Dream's services are provided to families completely free of charge and they do not receive any statutory funding for their work.

Their work is invaluable to those that they support and I am hoping to raise as much money as I can to support them.
Donating through this page is quick, easy and secure.

Please share this link with friends and family on social media to help me reach my target; together we can help those who need Daisy's Dream. Thank you!

Why the 40 day thing?
Well, people used to do sponsored diets, when I was a kid. But I don’t need calorie control, I really need more sleep, atm. So no more World Report after Radio4 has closed down. Forever would be good. Maybe even a break from the late shipping forecast?!?!?

And I endlessly admire those of you who walk and run marathons, but I simply need to get outside more, and move! Nicky Mernagh
