Latest News A 70th birthday celebration to remember Judi has been a supporter of Daisy's Dream since we began our work in 1996, starting off as a volunteer at our residential camps back in the late 1990's and, in more recent years, as a fundraiser. Following on from her success raising money at her 60th birthday party, Judi wanted to do something adventurous to celebrate her 70th and set about organising an 18 mile sponsored walk that passed by many of the schools that she had taught in during her long career as a teacher. Wearing her original Daisy's Dream volunteer sweatshirt, Judi set off at 8:15am on Saturday 1st February with two of her sons in tow. Joined by various family members throughout the walk, Judi had completed the full 18 miles by 2:15pm and was able to ready herself for the big family party she had planned that evening! Judi's walk raised a staggering £1,100 for Daisy's Dream - enough for us to provide 22 children with a 1:1 support session. Having set herself a target of £500 for this event, it is safe to say that Judi was overwhelmed by the donations given by her family and friends. She has asked us to pass on particular thanks to those from Southcote Family Church who donated so generously to her cause. Well done Judi!
