Awards for All grant helps us expand our work Thanks to the millions of people who play the National Lottery each week, we have been successful in securing funding for a pilot project that we are running in East Cheshire. Earlier this year we submitted a bid to the National Lottery Community Fund for an Awards for All grant of £7,646. The grant is to fund a pilot project that will allow us to provide outreach support to families affected by bereavement and serious illness in an area that we have identified as having a gap in provision. This fantastic grant will fund a Therapeutic Practitioner for 1 day a week for 12 months, enabling us to establish whether there is a demand for a service such as Daisy's Dream in the East Cheshire area. Following closely with the ethos of our work here in Berkshire, the project will provide support to children and young people facing, and following, bereavement on an outreach basis.
