#BeMoreChris_218 cyclists in Team #BeMoreChris cycled 100 miles on Sunday 5th September 2021 on the annual Manchester cycle ride in memory of Chris Hall.  Chris’s son, Sam, organised the team with friends of Chris and Sam too.  Chris had completed this ride for the last 11 years in honour of his close friend Colin, whose daughter, Francesca, has also been supported by Daisy's Dream. Francesca is also one of Chris and Fiona’s (Chris’s wife) god-children.

Friends and family cheered them along the way, and they had a great pit stop at a bus stop on Knutsford Road, Wilmslow. They have raised over £7,000 to date with monies still coming in, which is brilliant.  They are also organising “Chris Fest” on Saturday 18 September to help raise more funds.

Fiona, organiser and Sam’s step mum, said “Chris was a life-force like no other and such a force for good. He was only 48 when he was killed outright by a falling tree on 28th August 2020. Through our intense grief and shock we wanted to put our energy into supportinFiona & Sam hallg a non-funded charity that supports bereaved children/families. Chris and I have 7 godchildren between us, so as Chris wasn’t killed by an illness it seemed wholly fitting to support a charity that supports children also. Ironically enough, once Sam and I had chosen Daisy’s Dream we didn’t realise that Francesca’s support was coming from Daisy’s Dream also. It was a hugely emotional day for all involved and Sam and I cannot thank everyone enough for their continued help and support. It means the world.

Local Daisy's Dream Fundraiser, Sarah Hampton, said, “It was really lovely to meet Sam and his step mum Fiona who has organised the event and to cheer all the cyclists on.  A very big thank you for your support and a wonderful amount raised”.

“Over the last few years Daisy’s Dream has started to support children, families and schools in Cheshire East and is currently supporting 50 children and their families."

Thank you to everyone who participated and had donated and we wish you every success with 'ChrisFest'.
