Schools often play an important role in supporting children and young people through bereavement by offering a place of security and routine when a pupil’s life might otherwise feel chaotic and frightening.

Our 20 years of experience however, has shown that providing such support can sometimes seem daunting and anxiety provoking for school staff.

As your local childhood bereavement charity, we are here to offer free information and advice about supporting a bereaved child or a child affected by serious illness within the family.

Our professionally qualified family workers are available to provide you with reassurance and advice as needed and 'A guide to supporting pupils through bereavement' has been designed to enhance this - acting as an immediate source of reference for your team.

Should you require hard copies of this guide, or if you would like one our team to visit your school to provide more information about our service, please just let us know.
